At Boambee Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs may include:

Our extra-curricular highlights
Boambee Public School Road Safety
Our Tech Club students, Mr Doyle, Adam Rumsey and Simon Wright have teamed up to produce this outstanding road safety video for Boambee Public School. Adam Rumsey our Road Safety Education Officer and 2026 parent of Boambee Public School has let us know that this video will be used by the NSW Department of Education as an example of best practice, and shared across the state. A very special thank you to Simon Wright who is also a Boambee Parent. Simon has taken multiple days out of his busy schedule producing for MKR to support us with this project. Premiers Debating Challenge
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Tournament of Minds
Tournament of Minds is a problem solving program for teams of students from both primary and secondary years. Tournament's aim is to enhance the potential of our youth by developing diverse skills, enterprise, time management, and the discipline to work collaboratively within a challenging and competitive environment.
Mountain Biking (MTB) K-6
This program is delivered in partnership with parents under the leadership of our qualified mountain biking instructors. Students are provided with MTB opportunities within our weekly sport program where we have included mountain biking on site, high potential students are identified and given the opportunity to develop their skills on a recognised mountain biking trails. The school supplies the bikes, transport, and coaching.
Public Education - The best education money can't buy!
Premiers Spelling Bee
The Premier's Spelling Bee is an engaging way for NSW public primary school students to expand their vocabularies and improve their spelling. Designed for Stage 2 and 3, Stage 1 students are welcome to participate.
The program includes activities that encourage students to become more confident users of language through broadening their vocabulary, and promotes improved literacy skills in conjunction with the NSW English K to 10 syllabus.
Environmental Club
Our Environment Club take a leading role in enhancing sustainability and learning in this area for Boambee Public School.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Every year Boambee students have access to many excursions, with major camps for Year 4, 5 and 6:

PSSA Sporting Teams
Boambee Public is recognised for consistently performing well on the sporting field, with competitive teams entered into the PSSA NSW sporting competitions every year. In 2025 Boambee has teams entered into AFL, basketball, cricket, touch football, NRL, soccer and in 2026 we plan to add tennis and softball to these opportunities.
Garden Club
Our Garden Club is one of the most popular aspects of school life at Boambee, bringing joy and deep sense of belonging to our students.

Each year our Stage 3 students are provided with learn to surf lessons.
